V8-BEAUTIFUL NATURE IS GOD ALMIGHTY’S ANOTHER FORM

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu Hindu philosophy also tells of most beautiful human-like gods for elements of Nature– the God of Fire, God of Winds, God of Rain, God of Mountains, God of Oceans etc .Many ancient religions had such worship of elements of nature as the basis and beginning for religion. They are all gods of extreme beauty shining in gold and diamond crowns and wearing dazzling jewels and are majestic personalities of mighty strength and great holiness. Lord Indra is the king of Heaven. Lord Skanda, son of Lord Shiva, is commander-in-chief of Lord Indra’s armies in heaven. Note :It should be remembered these are all gorgeous forms of the one god almighty of the universe. The one god almighty of the universe with his incomprehensible mystic powers divides his holy form in a moment into such different forms for special purpose and can again merge them into himself in a moment. The Ramayana-Mahabharata mythology ( or more correctly the Ramayana-Mahabharata religi...

V7-GOD ALMIGHTY EXISTS IN EVERY LIVING BEING

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu This blog post relates to most sublime concepts of Hindu philosophy and Hindu mythology treating the prominent forms of animals and birds of India as forms of the great god almighty of the universe. The mythological stories relating to those gods existed since 3000 years and were mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata and in the Puranas. It may be most respectfully submitted that the outer forms of these great gods can be called their magical haloes beneath which the great god almighty of the universe resides. (1)Lord Ganesha, the Elephant God ,is son of Lord Shiva. He is considered as god of mountainous strength unrivalled in entire universe and also the greatest sage, the greatest philosopher and greatest scholar the world has ever known. He is also treated as commander in chief of gods in Lord Shiva’s heaven. Lord Ganesa is very gentle and symbol of patience but if he is angry none can stop him. He is among the most venerated gods of heaven. B...

V6-Ferocious Animal Incarnations

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu At the very beginning of creation god almighty had to incarnate himself in some fierce non-human forms to protect the weak and punish the wicked. (1) At beginning of time ,billions of years ago , a wicked demon king stole all “books of knowledge” from Lord Brahma and took them deep into ocean to destroy them. Then Lord Vishnu took the form of a colossal fish ,killed the demon and recovered the “books of knowledge” and gave them back to Lord Brahma. (2) Again at a later time billions of years ago, lord Vishnu took the form of a “mountain sized tortoise” to help the gods who were fighting a losing war with demons to take possession of the treasures of the ocean . The gods and demons were locked in a grand fight to recover the sealed gold pot containing “Amrith”, the divine nectar — by drinking which gods and demons could become deathless and immortal. At that time millions of years ago gods were not immortal and were weak and often defeate...

V5-THREE OTHER HUMAN INCARNATIONS

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu These three incarnations appear to have lot of historical significance to some prehistoric periods of early Aryan-Aryan and Aryan-Dravidian confrontations in ancient pre-history of india. (1)One is about a “divine Boy-Saint” called Lord Vamana an ocean of knowledge ,ocean of tolerance and unbounded energy. The incarnation of 3000 years back appears to be to convince people of those times (Aryans and Dravidians who were fighting with each other ) about the necessity of having a common high morality-based religion and a common Indian culture irrespective of Aryan and Dravidian classifications and to end all confrontations. The mighty “Rakshasa” king Bali (perhaps a mighty Dravidian emperor) himself appears to have taken some initiative in association with the “boy saint” from the Aryan side. Both appear to have felt that there should be no more wars between Aryan and Dravidian rulers and that the great beliefs and philosophies of both should merge ...

V4-Lord Buddha -The Great And Sublime Incarnation of Lord Vishnu

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu Lord Buddha is another philosopher-prince worshipped as incarnation of Lord Vishnu by Hindu philosophers. But he took a different route. He was an extremely courageous Aryan prince who became a monk at age of 29 years and renounced the pleasures of the world to study the wide spread inequalities in multiracial society of India. He spent his entire life fighting for equality irrespective of caste and race but with a spirit of extreme love, truthfulness, highest morality, non-violence and compassion. The image the divine-hearted prince created in hearts of people was that of a sweet loving god. He travelled throughout east India and preached his philosophy of love, compassion, equality and courage for 51 long years, until he passed away (“ Maha Parinirvan”)at the age of 80 years became a new religion with a great message. His message was for leading a life of extremely high morality and non-violence and simultaneously to think every moment of helping ...

V3-HIS EARTHLY INCARNATIONS -LORD RAMA AND LORD KRISHNA

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu Lord Vishnu takes on the additional duty of incarnating himself on earth in different eras for eliminating very wicked persons and for protecting the weak. This duty is in addition to his great work as administrator of the universe of billion galaxies. The incarnations of lord Vishnu as Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and Lord Buddha have extremely great significance for creating a great living moral philosophies in India about 3000 years ago. (1) Lord Rama though a great conqueror was a pious philosophic-minded prince who treated the material world as an illusion and gave greatest stress to morality and spirituality in human life. If we view Lord Rama’s life from such an angle we can understand his insistence about maintaining most affectionate family relations , about respecting parents as living gods and about necessity of leading a life of highest morality, truthfulness and spirituality . Following his strict ideals Lord Rama renounced his title to th...

V2-GOD ALMIGHTY OF THE UNIVERSE –HIS THREE PRIMARY FORMS

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu (1) Now let us turn to the most beautiful and poetic part of ancient Hindu philosophy. The great god almighty of the universe ruling over the universe —of billions of galaxies containing billions of suns and billions of planets— is called in Hindu philosophy as Lord Vishnu( the great administrator). He is also is seen in two other forms known in Hindu philosophy by the names Lord Brahma( the great creator) and Lord Shiva( the great destroyer). As everybody and even a child can imagine, god almighty has unlimited mystic powers which we can not understand and comprehend. He can exist in any form he likes and can also appear in more than one form at the same time. These three great gods live in their majestic individual high heavens. (2) Lord Vishnu is the grand administrator of the Universe and takes up the duties of protecting the universe immediately after it is created by Lord Brahma. He lives in invisible gold and crystal palaces in the clouds...

V1-THE MAYA THEORY– THE FOUNDATION OF ANCIENT HINDU PHILOSOPHY

By PragyanSharma Polavarapu Now we give below an introduction (or a general background) to the sublime ancient Hindu philosophy-–the basis for the beautiful and highly poetic and highly moral ancient Hindu mythology —is given below . It is given not only to acquaint children with stories of the gods but also to provide introduction on Hindu philosophy to the new generations who have very hazy and half-formed knowledge of the highly moral, spiritualistic and other-worldly philosophy. The philosophy underlies almost the entire Hindu traditional literature of the last 2000 years. The philosophy underlies too the peerless mythological works Ramayana and Mahabharata. Beyond even this ancient Hindu philosophy lies the “ancient Vedic Aryan philosophy of soul”. It is a philosophy declaring that the great god almighty lives inside every human body in the shape of the immortal soul .It is among the oldest philosophies of the world and stresses the absolute necessity of a highly moral s...
