V5-THREE OTHER HUMAN INCARNATIONS

By  PRAGYANSHARMA POLAVARAPU (Vrs.Somanchi)

These three incarnations appear to have lot of historical significance to some prehistoric periods of early Aryan-Aryan and Aryan-Dravidian confrontations in ancient pre-history of india.

(1)One is about a “divine Boy-Saint” called Lord Vamana an ocean of knowledge ,ocean of tolerance and unbounded energy. The incarnation of 3000 years back appears to be to convince people of those times (Aryans and Dravidians who were fighting with each other )  about the   necessity of having  a common high morality-based religion and a common Indian culture irrespective of Aryan and Dravidian classifications and to end all confrontations.

The mighty “Rakshasa” king Bali (perhaps a mighty Dravidian emperor) himself appears to have taken some initiative in association with the “boy saint” from the Aryan side. Both appear to have felt  that there should be no more wars between Aryan and Dravidian rulers and that the great beliefs  and philosophies of both should merge and form a tolerant common religion. Both Dravidian and Aryan thinkers and rulers perhaps took such an initiative. Earlier there were incessant wars between the great Dravidians and Aryans but later there was merger of the two great cultures and great civilizations. The Dravidians were most enterprising and inventive people of India in prehistoric times. They built great temples and built great shipping fleets. They established empires in the Far East and also conducted trade with the Roman Empire. History shows that they spread the ancient amalgamated Dravidian-Aryan culture into South East Asia.

History also shows that when Vedic Aryans first entered the Dravidian dominated India 5000 years ago. In those very ancient times  Lord Shiva was worshipped only by Dravidians and Indus Valley people. The Holy Bull (Lord Shiva’s vehicle) was also worshipped only  by Dravidians and Indus valley people . Lord Vishnu and Lord Indra etc were not worshipped by Dravidians and were not known to Dravidian religion. Later both religions merged completely and Vishnu and Shiva worship  became a most important feature of the new merged Hindu religion. Vishnu and Shiva temples came up throughout India . Subsequently there have been through the centuries  great saints of both Vishnu and Shiva traditions from both south India and north India. This particular incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Lord Vamana appears to be  a symbol of complete amalgamation of Aryan and Dravidian philosophies, religions and cultures with absolute unconditional agreement of both sides.

(2)Another incarnation of Lord Vishnu (“Lord Parashurama”) is  about ancient  fierce internal wars within various  Aryan groups in north India  for supremacy. Warlords of some dominant Aryan tribes seized all power and controlled all land and became sole rulers. Lord Parashurama  lead the victimized Aryan tribes against the domineering Aryan tribes and established right balance in  power-sharing and then disappeared into the Himalayan mountains . He is said to be an immortal sage doing penance in the Himalayas

( 3 )Still another incarnation of Lord Vishnu is Lord Balarama treated with great respect as elder brother of Lord Krishna. He was a very great conqueror in his own right and killed many extremely powerful and wicked  kings.  He later settled down as an elder statesman. He was greatly respected as leader of the vast agricultural   classes  and the cattle-rearing classes and has  the plough as his symbolic weapon.

Note:- Ancient philosophers felt that in course of centuries and millenniums of time  the world would be  overtaken by excessive competition between nations and that selfishness and greed  will result in increase in evil and crime in the world. It is said that god almighty would be forced to appear in another incarnation (“Kalki”) to subdue the wicked and selfish persons and to establish peace and morality and to cool down people and force them into a  path of sober behavior. Such a restless and confused situation appears to have already started on the globe with the birth of the industrial revolution and high technology revolution and resulted in two World Wars and existence of many high tension problems in many areas of the world. The people of the world appear to be forgetting that planet earth is the only place for human beings to live and that if it is made uninhabitable the situation would be like that of a leaking ship caught in high storms and sinking.
